𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀?

🔹 We have been unofficially advised that Hampshire County Council’s (HCC) Regulatory Committee site visit will take place early next week.
🔹 This implies that the Regulatory Committee meeting where the Hamble Airfield application will be decided 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟱 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. We understand (for now) that this meeting will most likely take place in Winchester.
🔹 The site visit held for the Regulatory Committee members is a private site visit. The purpose is to show the proposed site and all its surroundings. There is protocol laid out detailing how this visit is managed.
🔶 We’d respectfully ask any residents who see the Committee members during their visit to let them continue without obstruction.
🔶 The site visit is an important part of the decision-making process, and we want the Committee members to spend as long as possible on the Airfield and surrounding area, so they can fully appreciate the impact of this planning application on Hamble and the Peninsula as a whole. We want them to see a normal day in Hamble.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?

🔹 We are working closely with Hamble Peninsula Residents Group (HPRG) on advanced preparations for the Regulatory Committee meeting.
🔹 HCC’s planning officer compiles a report which will be made public on 7 or 8 May 2024. This is when time is tight and the Parish Council, HPRG, and our specialist consultants will put their heads together to go through this and draw together the key information that we will put into deputations to present at the Regulatory Committee meeting.
🔹 We’ll share more regular updates over the coming three weeks as things come to light – so please check our social feeds and noticeboards around the village.
🔹 We understand that many of you will have questions about the Regulatory Committee meeting and will want to know what you can do to make your objections known to the Committee members.
🔹 We have put a form on our website so you can send questions to us. We will then come back to you with an answer, and if this information can be publicly shared, will also post the response on our website and social media.

𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

Voting in person at polling stations has now changed, as you will need to bring an accepted form of photo ID.

If you have registered for the postal vote, this means that you can have your say at the elections on 2 May, even if you can’t get to your local polling station.
