Hamble Parish Council The Mercury Library and Community Hub

The Mercury Library and Community Hub is now open Monday-Saturday 10am-NOON - and for a trial period during September on Wednesday afternoons 3-5pm.

The lovely volunteers have nearly completed their training and will be very happy to show you around.

  • GET YOUR FREE MEMBERSHIP - Then borrow books & use the IT stations
  • USE THE BOOK EXCHANGE - Just bring your gently-used books (or a donation) & swap for up to 3 exchange books


Households can register under one membership, to include children.

  • Library members can borrow up to 3 books at a time at no cost
  • The standard loan term is 28 days
  • Books can be renewed free of charge in person
  • Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
  • Members with overdue book will not be permitted to borrow any further books until all overdue items are returned


Citizens Advice Eastleigh - The first Wednesday of each month
Drop-in advice sessions offering a safe and confidential space to discuss your situation and possible ways forward.
Appointments are not required - just come in to The Mercury between 10am and 12.30pm and let one of the volunteers know that you would like to see Citizens Advice. Telephone advice is also available by calling 03444 111 306 and online www.citizensadvice.org.uk

Digital Skills with Barclays Tea and Teach - Second Wednesday of each month (by appointment only)
Free, friendly sessions helping you build your digital skills with smart phones, tablets, laptops and PCs. Practical and helpful advice on online issues too.
